CarnaudMetalbox Engineering Ltd (CMbE) is a leading global designer and manufacturer of canmaking machinery, trackwork, conveyance and tooling. Through our partnerships we can offer full turnkey canmaking solutions to produce two-piece beverage or food cans.
Global Reach
Shipley, West Yorkshire provides the base for our global network of can-making products and services. We have numerous agents across the world, in addition to our facilities in the US, UK and China.
Our History
Founded in the 1930s, CMB has been developing and designing leading technologies, in Shipley, for almost a century. During this time, a merger formed between Carnaud, a French manufacturer; and a further acquisition by Crown Holdings Incorporated, one of the world’s leading producers of metal packaging; have defined the innovative and customer driven company that you see before you today.

Our People
We are passionate about canmaking. Combining the fresh perspectives of young team members new to the industry with the in-depth knowledge of canmaking veterans, we continually develop machinery, services and training to benefit every customer. Our depth and breadth of canmaking knowledge is legendary and our machines are too, but without our people making this happen we wouldn’t be where we are today.
